WHAT IS THE VERIFIED ASSISTANT SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS PROGRAM (VASD Program)?

We have two programs during the summer. One of them is this newly launched VASD Program which is open only to former Tech Money Academy Students who are at least 13 years old.

The program is an intensive program which not only teaches advanced software development skills but comes with the following:

1 - An exam at the end of the program

2 - A Verified status

3 - Ability to work on software development projects with my firm so they can deepen their skills

This is a program I am creating for those who are interested in applying what they learn during the summer program in the real world.

Most tech programs teach skills that students never get to apply. The VASD Program is different — students gain real-world experience working on live projects.

Once a student passes the exam, they get a letter telling them that they are now a part of our database of Verified Assistant Software Developers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VASD PROGRAM

1 - How does the program work?

As you can imagine, this is a training program that leads to work if the student passes the exam at the end of the summer training. I will be training my students personally during the summer to work as a software developer with my team after the program ends.

As a result, I cannot admit everybody. I can only train and work with a few people.

That is why the first step after parents indicate interest is to get the interested student to fill a form. I am only going to be admitting my past students who show deep interest. The answers on the form will help with initial screening.

Once the student passes the initial screening, we will then invite you to register them.

2 - What does the registration involve and what is included?

The registration fee is 150,000 Naira. Yes, it is higher than our normal summer program — but this is not just another tech class. It’s a career development opportunity with real-world projects and mentorship.

It's a stepping stone to real tech experience, paid work, and even future career opportunities.

3 - How do you allocate projects?

It depends on the availability of your child. Once your child passes the exam, the next thing they must do is to inform us of their availability and preferred working structure. For example, students who have completed their WAEC and have a lot of free time might tell us they are always available. Those who are in school might indicate maybe an hour or two over the weekend, mid-term break, etc. We consider all of this before allocating projects to your child.

4 - Is it possible for my child to be promoted to a full developer role before the 12 months elapses so my child can start earning?

Yes, definitely, but it depends on how available your child is and their performance.

6- My child is not a teenager yet. What are my child's options?

Our other summer program is ideal for your child and even teenagers who cannot join the VASD Program this year. Our summer program this year is going to teach your child a lot. The VASD Program will be yearly going forward so once your child becomes a teenager, they can join this pathway.
